Privacy Policy

Your focus and your time are deeply personal. This policy explains how data is handled when you use the Phantom Focus iOS application — which is easy, because there is almost nothing to explain.

1. Zero data collection

Phantom Focus does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

The app operates completely offline: no external servers, no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising networks, no third-party SDKs. The app does not connect to the network at all.

2. Screen Time & Family Controls data

Phantom Focus uses Apple’s Screen Time framework (Family Controls) strictly for its core functionality: blocking the apps you select and managing your usage budget.

On-device processing. Everything happens on your device.
Opaque tokens.Apple’s architecture ensures Phantom Focus cannot read or identify the specific apps, websites, or categories you select — they are stored as opaque tokens only iOS can decode.
No access to history. Phantom Focus cannot see your browsing history, message content, or actual in-app activity.

3. Local storage & data deletion

All preferences — your daily budget, streak, breach history, and guarded targets — are stored locally on your device inside the secure iOS App Sandbox / App Group.

Deleting the application immediately and permanently removes all of it. There are no remote accounts or cloud backups to delete.

4. Children's privacy

Because Phantom Focus collects no personal data whatsoever, its behavior is consistent with COPPA and GDPR requirements regarding minors. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children under 13 — because we do not collect information from anyone at all.

5. Managing permissions

You are always in control. You can grant or revoke Phantom Focus’s access to Screen Time (Family Controls) at any time, directly in your device settings: iOS Settings → Screen Time.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a future version, the date at the top will be updated. Since we hold no contact details, changes are reflected directly on this page.
